Lady Captain’s Message

Ladies,

It is an immense honour to represent Hazel Grove Golf Club as Lady Captain for 2011. The Hazel Grove Ladies are wonderful and great ambassadors for the game of golf and for our Club. Everyone who comes to Hazel Grove is made to feel very welcome, something that is remarked upon by many visiting players. New members are always most welcome. It can be quite daunting walking into a club for the first time to make enquiries about taking up golf, so if you do feel like playing golf and wish to call into our club, you are assured of a warm welcome!

I’m looking forward to my year in office, to welcoming new members and visitors and to playing with existing members, many of whom have already been out playing on the hills in anticipation of the coming season! Our ladies are known for being extremely competitive, and we enter teams in nearly all categories of Inter Club Competitions. It was a truly wonderful achievement last year for our ladies to become East Leinster Minor Cup Champions! Again many congratulations to the winning team, and I have no doubt that we will continue to build on that achievement.

When not on the hills of Hazel Grove, we enjoy a good social life including weekends away. There is always fun & laughter when the ladies get together.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Damien and his committee all the best for 2011, and I look forward to working with them on the many events that take will take place throughout the coming year.
